DW BUREAU Dr. Ramesh Arora and Dr. Tajinder Kaur, the faculty members of the Department of Agriculture of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib published two valuable text books in Agricultural Sciences. Dr. Ramesh Arora, Professor of Entomology, has authored a text book entitled 'An Introduction to Integrated Pest and Disease Management' (IPDM) for the students of B. Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and Biotechnology as per the latest syllabus approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. Dr. Arora said that this book is a product of more than four decades of his experience in teaching, research, development, validation and dissemination of IPM in a variety of crops. Dr Sushma Sharma, Assistant Professor of Plant Pathology at Eternal University, Baru Sahib, H.P. is his co-author in this text book. Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Asst. Professor of Agriculture, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University has written book entitled 'Environmental Stress Physiology of Plants and Crop Productivity' published by Bentham Publishers, Sharjah, UAE. Her areas of specialization include plant environmental stress physiology, water quality monitoring, environmental genotoxicity/mutagenicity and Hydro-chemistry. She has published many research articles and book chapters in journals and books of international repute. Dr. Saroj Arora is the co-author in this book, and is working as Professor, Department of Botanical and Environmental Sciences, GNDU Amritsar. (editor@dailyworld.in)
