Subhash Barala reviews HAFED working

The Chairman, Haryana Bureau of Public Enterprises, Subhash Barala presided over a review meeting of Haryana State Cooperative Supply & Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) today.
In the meeting, Chairman of HAFED, Kailash Bhagat, Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Department, Sanjeev Kaushal and Managing Director, HAFED, A.Sreenivas were present.
In the meeting, Barala directed that maximum procurement of paddy should be done by HAFED on the basis of quality standards and it should be ensured that farmers do not face any kind of problem during the procurement
process.
Barala directed that smooth operation of all the processing units of the state should be ensured. Along with this, the re-functioning of rice processing units which are closed should also be ensured. Subhash Barala also directed to make better use of commercial godowns located at Gurugram, Delhi and other places in the State. In the meeting, the officers also discussed further about improving the seed quality and monitoring at the seed factory in Ganaur.
He said that now the arrival of paddy in the grain markets has also started increasing. So far, gate passes have been issued to 58,162 farmers in grain markets and procurement centres of Haryana. About 3.70408 lakh tonnes of paddy has arrived in the grain markets. After completing the auction details of 15,424 farmers, the auction details of 30662 tonnes of paddy of 4934 farmers have also been registered. Now the procurement of paddy is smoothly underway in the grain markets, he added.
In the meeting, Barala also ordered an inquiry into the incomplete construction of 16 godowns in the state. Directions were given to produce high quality multigrain flour, porridge and biscuits in the flour mills of the state. Officers of HAFED were present in the meeting.
