DW BUREAU / Chandigarh With a view to contribute their bit in the war against COVID-19 and lend a helping hand to the UT Administration besides as part of their corporate social responsibility, the local entrepreneurs, Mr. Anil Selhi and Mr. Rajesh Khanna of Sark Industries, one of the biggest injection molding facility in Chandigarh, today donated 1000 face shields to PGI. Coming forward to mitigate the lot of frontline fighters, medical as well as the para medical staff, the Sark Industries rallied its resources to set up a facility for mass production within a week. Pritpal Singh Matharu, another Chandigarh based entrepreneur was also a driving force in this project. It's noteworthy that the trio are from the same institution, Indo Swiss Training Centre ? CSIO, Sector ? 30, Chandigarh. Thanking the Chandigarh Administration especially the DC Mr. Mandeep Singh for providing them with all the permissions promptly, the entrepreneurs said that they have a manufacturing capacity of producing 1 lakh face shields per month and will continue to increase their capacity till each and every frontline warrior is equipped with proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs). They also profusely thanked and were grateful to the doctors at PGI under the visionary guidance of Dr. Jagat Ram for the development of this product. (editor@dailyworld.in)
