In a significant gesture of support towards preserving Sikh heritage, three individuals have made a generous contribution of Rs 26 lakh to the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Foundation Trust, Lohgarh.

The donation cheques were formally handed over to Sh. Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Power, Housing and Urban Affairs in Chandigarh.

Also present on the occasion was Dr. Prabhleen Singh, Officer on Special Duty Government of Haryana, who is closely associated with the Memorial Foundation Trust and its initiatives.

The donors who came forward to support the noble cause include Sh. Harkaran Singh Boparai, Director of HBS and Space Five Architect Group, who contributed Rs 11 lakh; Sh. Ashok Sharma, Chairman of AK Construction Group, who donated Rs 10 lakh; and Dr. Avneet Singh Warraich, Member of the International Gita Mahotsav Authority and founder of Warraich Homeopathic Clinic, Pehowa, who extended support with a contribution of Rs 5 lakh.

It may be mentioned here that Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial is being developed under the guidance of the Foundation Trust to commemorate the unparalleled courage and sacrifices of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur ? the revered Sikh warrior who established the first sovereign Sikh rule in India.
