Resolve public grievances promptly, Shruti Choudhry tells officers

Haryana Irrigation and Water Resources Department and Women and Child Development Minister, Smt. Shruti Choudhry conducted a surprise inspection at the Anganwadi centre and cleaning work going on at Bhurtana Minor in village Bhurtana of Bhiwani district, she directed the officers for improvement in work. During her inspection she not only heard public grievances related to electricity, water, road construction etc. but also directed officers along with her to resolve the issues promptly.
Smt. Choudhry on Friday, expressed gratitude to the people of Tosham during a 'Dhyanawadi Daura', visiting various villages.
While interacting with the media after the Daura, Irrigation and Water Resources Minister said that the all dilapidated canals, channels, and distributaries across the state will be repaired swiftly.
Responding to the water related issue in the region, she said that efforts are underway to enhance the 'lift irrigation system', which was initiated during former Chief Minister, Late Chaudhary Bansi Lal's tenure, to ensure the supply of drinking and irrigation water in South Haryana. Officers have been directed to improve the maintenance of canals across the entire state, including South Haryana, and to ensure that water reaches the tail-end of the canals.
The Cabinet Minister stated that efforts are being made to recharge groundwater in the state's dark zone blocks through the Pond Authority to raise the water level. Directives have been issued to officers in this regard.
Responding to another question about the Tosham Assembly constituency, Smt. Shruti Choudhry said that arrangements for drinking water in the constituency are being improved in collaboration with the Public Health Department. Apart from this, major development works in every village of the constituency will be carried out promptly based on the demands of the residents.
