RBU inks pact with German university

The Rayat Bahra University has inked a MOU with Albstadt-Sigmaringen University, Germany. It's an exclusive MOU with the School of Medical and Allied Sciences.
Disclosing this here today, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, said that this agreement aims to promote academic exchange of course related information, student exchange for the medical laboratory technology (MLT) programme on the basis of reciprocity.
He said that under the agreement it was also envisaged to have short term faculty exchange for the MLT programme on reciprocity and work jointly for curriculum development, guest lectures, and joint course development.
Elaborating on the benefits of the MoU to the students, Bahra said that they will get to know the new technology and techniques which are being used in developed countries like Germany. It would also give the students an opportunity to have international platform exposure, cross-culture exchange, and develop interpersonal skills.
Under the MoU it has been decided that the students would be able to come visit Germany for one semester. The syllabus for the MLT programme has been mapped between RBU and Albstardt University. Speaking about the expenditure on the programme, the Chancellor said that the students will have to pay tuition fees in their respective universities. The MoU will help the students get jobs in Germany and they can study for a Master's degree in the same university. Vice-Chancellor of the university Dr Parvinder Singh said that the university has global alliances and through strategic alliances and links with foreign universities, the standard of education at RBU is currently at par with the best in the world. He said that the academic partners of the university included Pepperdine University, USA, Clemson University, USA, Ural Federal University, Russia, and Arkansas State University in the US. The RBU also has international internship partners which include PAX Edutainment Pvt. Ltd, AIESEC, Red Ford, and EduBrain Overseas.
