DW BUREAU / PATIALA Prof Arvind, Vice-Chancellor of the Punjabi University held a meeting with the Heads of the Departments on the University campus. Addressing the Department Heads, Prof Arvind said that he takes great pride in becoming part of this leading University. He said that challenges are always a part of every institution and solutions can be found by working together. He said that he believed in working together by involving all the stakeholders of the university and hoped that the university will overcome difficulties and obstacles soon. He further said that various possibilities would be explored to generate financial resources. Speaking on the occasion, he shared his vision for future plans and strategies for the university. He said that the global trends of the 21st century demand that we review our academic progress on a regular basis. While talking about online education during this Covid-19 pandemic, Prof Arvind said that students' engagement and learning can further be augmented by reverse teaching methods or flipped teaching. This allows more interaction and discussions with the students. The Heads of various Departments discussed various problems and possibilities regarding academic activities with the new Vice-Chancellor. In this meeting, Dean Academic Affairs Dr Pushpinder Singh Gill, Registrar Dr Virender Kaushik and Dean Research Gurdeep Singh Batra were also present. (editor@dailyworld.in)
