Divyasnsh Gupta, President, The Himalayan Foundation, welcomed Ram Gopal, DSP, CID, Chandigarh as the Chief Guest, and Dr Sandeep Singh, President, Desh Bhagat University and Radio, Karnail Singh Ahhi, former District and Session Judge, as special guest of the event. The cyclothon started from Sector 16 Cricket Stadium at 6:30 am and over 500 people registered for it. Dr Sandeep Singh, President, DBU, said that this initiative by DBU and The Himalayan Foundation has been really popular among the youth. Cycling is a great medium to stay fit and DBU is promoting the notion of Healthy Mind Resides in a Healthy Body through this cyclothon. Rohan Kapoor, Chairperson, The Himalayan Foundation, said that a special prize was given to the winner. He said there was great enthusiasm among the participants. He thanked Ram Gopal, DSP, CID, Chandigarh, Dr Sandeep Singh, President, Desh Bhagat University and Karnail Singh Ahhi, former District and Sessions Judge, Chandigarh for their presence. Ram Gopal, DSP, congratulated the participants for taking a step towards environment conservation. He also said that such events serve as a major inspiration for youth to make fitness a habit.
