Over 300 attend intl anatomy meet at DBU

category Regional, mandi gobindgarh, , tags Regional, mandi gobindgarh, , DW BUREAU MANDI GOBINDGARH The first International Conference on Anatomy ICOA-NZSOA 2023 Living Anatomy in 21st Century : An Emerging Trends in Health Sciences organized by the Department of Anatomy, Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital, concluded at Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh. The two-day conference was inaugurated by Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University. Pro-Chancellor Dr Tajinder Kaur, Vice-President Dr Harsh Sadavarti, Dean Academics Dr Sunil Malhan, and Principal Dr Vikram Bali were present on the occasion. Before the inauguration of the conference, the statue of freedom fighter Sardar Lal Singh was garlanded by Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr Tajinder Kaur and other dignitaries. This was followed by ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr Zora Singh, Dr Tajinder Kaur and other dignitaries. Dr Jagwinder Singh Mann, President of the Punjab Dental Council. Dr Ajit Pal Singh, the conference organizing chairman, delivered the conference theme address. On the occasion, dignitaries also released a souvenir of the first International Conference of Anatomy. The conference was attended by 300 offline delegates and over 100 delegates from UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Germany, and over 15 states from India including Jammu and Kashmir. A number of foreign delegates and South American national representatives also took part in the meeting virtually. Dr Tulika Gupta, Associate Professor in the Department of Anatomy, PGIMER, Chandigarh, presented the keynote address. (editor dailyworld.in)
