Meanwhile, it is to inform the General Public that HAFED has been unable to provide mustard oil in the month of June-2021, due to which the Ration Depots will be unable to distribute ration to the beneficiaries through the Ration Depots. Also, due to comparatively higher price of mustard in the market, farmers have sold their mustard crop at the rate of about Rs 6,500 to Rs 7000 per quintal in the market itself. Thus, mustard oil was not available with HAFED due to its unavailability. In this context, it has been decided by the State Government that from the month of June-2021, the subsidy (to the tune of Rs 250 per 2 litre) on mustard oil to be given to the beneficiaries will be directly deposited in the bank accounts of AAY and BPL families.
