MP Preneet Kaur inaugurating the 56th National and 25th International Conference of Indian Association of Applied Psychology at Punjabi University in Patiala

Punjabi University Department of Psychology successfully completed the 56th National and 25th International Conference of Indian Association of Applied Psychology after three days of intellectual presentations, collegiums and academic exchanges.
The conference was inaugurated online by the Chief Guest Preneet Kaur, Member Parliament, and addressed by Dr Veerendra Mishra, Director of the National Institute of Social Defence.
Over 260 delegates participated in this conference from all parts of India, as well as from USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Netherlands, Malaysia etc. contributing in 27 scientific and 13 plenary and collegiums sessions. The valedictory session marking the end of this prestigious event was graced by the presence of Dean (Research) Prof GS Batra and ex-Registrar Prof BS Sandhu. IAAP regional president Prof Updesh and Secretary Prof NovRattan Sharma heartily praised the efforts of Dr Mamta Sharma, Head of the Psychology Department, and her team for overcoming all obstacles of the online mode and organizing such a well-executed event.
Overwhelming appreciation was received from Prof GP Thakur, Chief Patron, IAAP, and Prof MVR Raju, President elect 2021-2024, IAAP, through their online address as well. The inaugural amd valedictory keynote addresses were also delivered online by Prof Janak Pandey and Prof Vidhu Mohan respectively. The conference also included a vibrant cultural event and proved to be an unparalleled success in terms of participation, contribution and leadership.
