With a view to give an impetus to the vaccination campaign against Corona in Samrala Geetika Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Samrala, called upon panches and sarpanches of this sub division. While addressing a meeting of panches and sarpanches she said that they all must come forward to vaccinate against Coronavirus and motivate their fellow villagers for the same. She said that the deadly virus was spreading fast all over the world and the vaccination was the only weapon to fight it.
She urged the prominent persons and heads of the village panchayats to come forward for vaccination. She said that the government had supplied vaccine in sufficient quantities and large numbers of people were getting vaccinated without any fear. The vaccine was being given to every person who had attained the age of 45 years and above. The vaccine was safe with no adverse effects on the human body. The vaccine boosts our immune system against the Coronavirus. The SDM said vaccination camps were being organised in villages to facilitate smooth and hassle free vaccination. Well trained vaccination teams were formed which would go door to door to motivate people to get vaccinated. These teams would vaccinate the people in different camps in Samrala and Machhiwara villages under this sub-division. All the village panchayat heads assured the administration of their full support and cooperation.
Geetika Singh appealed to the general public to come forward for vaccination. She also appealed to the NGOs to ensure every eligible person was immunised against Covid-19 so that the target of vaccinating all eligible beneficiaries could be achieved at the earliest.
She said that NGOs can reach out to people to allay their fears about side effects of the vaccine. She also appealed that there should be no lapse in wearing masks and social distancing even after vaccination.
