Jaipur Architecture Festival to be held on Nov 11, 12

'Jaipur Architecture Festival' (JAF) will be organised on 11 & 12 November, concurrently with the 'India Stonemart 2022' like its previous editions. The JAF will specially focus on the 'Architectural Practice and Education and the Stone Tradition of India'. The objective of the festival is to provide an appropriate platform for the exchange of new ideas, interaction and networking in the creative field of architecture. JAF will explore a range of ideas about future cities, environment, architecture as well as the practice and education of rich stone traditions. This was informed by the Managing Director (MD) of Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Limited (RIICO), Mr Shivprasad Nakate.
He further said that 'Jaipur Architecture Festival' is being organized by the CDOS, RIICO, FICCI and Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Rajasthan Chapter is the Knowledge Partner.
Eminent architects from pan-India and abroad will participate in JAF. The participants will also include teaching faculties and students from important architectural colleges and institutes.
The festival will also play a pivotal role in updating the knowledge and awareness about the availability and properties of different stones. The Centre for Development of Stones (CDOS) has also taken a number of initiatives for introducing the participants to the stone industry for hassle-free selection and sourcing of stones as well as establishing
direct linkages.
There will be well-known speakers and exciting panel discussions at the JAF. The galaxy of speakers will include President, Council of Architecture, Habeeb Khan, Ketan Jawdekar, Santha Gour; Rafiq Azam, Kamal Malik, Sangeet Sharma, Biju Kuriakose, etc. It will provide access to over 300 delegates from the design fraternity providing learning and interaction opportunities with these leading architects for the emergence of new ideas and talent. The festival will also exhibit 15 inspiring projects of architects and designers in the Display Arena as an ode to the rich culture, heritage and stone architecture of the state of Rajasthan.
