These amendments are tailored to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the judicial branch recruitment process in Haryana. According to the notification issued by the Haryana Chief Secretary, the State Government will appoint One Hundred Twenty-Nine (Actual) and Forty-Five (Unforeseen) vacant posts of Civil Judges (Junior Division) through special recruitment, guided by a Selection Committee. The Selection Committee, as outlined in the notification, comprises three Judges of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, nominated by the Chief Justice, with the most senior member serving as the Chairman. Other members include the Advocate General, Haryana, the Chief Secretary of Haryana, and the Chairman of the Haryana Public Service Commission. The examination will be conducted in three stages: (i) Preliminary examination, (ii) Main examination, and (iii) Viva-Voce. The Preliminary examination will be used to shortlist candidates, up to ten times the number of advertised posts, based on merit, for participation in the Main written examination. Candidates must achieve a minimum of 150 marks (or 100 marks for reserved category candidates) out of a total of 500 marks in the Preliminary examination to qualify for the Main examination. Marks from the Preliminary examination will not be counted in the final result. Up to ten times the number of advertised vacancies will be eligible for the Main Examination. In cases where two or more candidates have equal marks at the last position, all of them will be eligible for the Main Examination, requiring an adjustment in the stipulated ratio. The Main written examination will be held at a location and on a date as notified in the Official Gazette. The examination admission fee, determined by the State Government and published in the Official Gazette, will be payable online through the website provided by the Secretary of the Haryana Public Service Commission. The Selection Committee will oversee setting question papers, evaluating answer sheets, conducting the Viva-Voce, and all other aspects of the recruitment process, including the invitation and screening of applications.In an effort to streamline the recruitment process, the Haryana Government has entrusted the issuance of roll numbers and admit cards for the Judicial Branch Examination to the Haryana Public Service Commission. Candidates participating in this examination must present their admission certificates at the examination venue. The Main written examination consists of six papers, including five written papers and one viva-voce test. The notification highlights that only bare copies of legislative enactments will be supplied, and each written paper will have a three-hour duration.
