HP Governor, CM pays floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee

HP Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar while paying tribute on the fourth death anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee said that he was a great leader, statesman and followed the principles at every position he hold and always believed in politics based on high values. The nation will always remember Atal BihariVajpayee for the services and valuable contribution rendered by him to the country, said Governor.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee by garlanding his statue at Ridge here today on the occasion of the death anniversary of the former Prime Minister.
Later, the Chief Minister, while interacting with media persons, said that people of the Himachal in general were fortunate that Atal Bihari Vajpayee had a special love and benevolence for the State and its people.
He said that despite his busy schedule as Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee used to visit Prini in Kullu district every year. He said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a great orator, outstanding parliamentarian and an extraordinary statesman.
Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, MP and State BJP President Suresh Kashyap, MLA Balbir Verma, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi, SP Shimla Dr. Monika were also present on the occasion among others.
CM presides over Pragatisheel Himachal: Sathapna Ke 75 Varsh function
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, while addressing the massive public meeting at Chail Koti in Kasumpti Vidhan Sabha area of Shimla district today as part of 'Pragatisheel Himachal: Sathapna Ke 75 Varsh' (Progressive Himachal:75 Years of Formation) celebrations to commemorate 75 years of existence of Himachal Pradesh, announced opening of sub tehsils at Baldeyan and Koti of Kasumpti Assembly Constituency, establishing 33KV Electric Sub Station at Koti, upgradation of Government High Schools Bani and Patcher to Government Senior Secondary Schools.
