Hisar airport runway will have the capacity to land international flights: Dushyant

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that construction of Maharaja Agrasen International Airport in Hisar is an ambitious project of the Haryana Government. The government has kept a budget of Rs 945 crore for this mega project. By stating that Hisar Airport is being constructed in accordance with international standards, the Deputy Chief Minister put an end to all of the speculations. He stated this while interacting with the media persons in Hisar today. The under-construction runway of Hisar Airport is 10,000 feet, which is in line with the international airport. In the last 1.5 year, 90 percent of the runway work was completed. This runway will be ready in March 2023. Along with this runway, taxi stand and 23 meter wide taxi-way, parking stand, fire station are also being constructed as per international standards.
State-of-the-art technology lights through which airplanes can land even at night and an air traffic control system equipped with the latest technology will be installed. He informed that the length of runways at international airports across the world ranges from 9,000 to 12,000 feet, and the length of Hisar's runway is 10,000 feet. Haryana's first major airport is being built in Hisar on 7200 acres. The Deputy Chief Minister said that after the construction of the second phase, the terminal and apron of the airport will also be constructed according to the standard of the international airport. The Deputy Chief Minister said that for the construction of an international airport, the first condition is to prepare infrastructure according to international standards, on which the Haryana government is working at an accelerated pace. Hisar is on the path of emerging as an aviation hub. He said that the airport will be developed in about 7200 acres of land. Work will be started soon to develop a manufacturing hub in 3000 acres. He said that this airport will prove beneficial for all the passengers from Amritsar to Jaipur. Dushyant Chautala said that after five years, the central government will definitely give in writing that Hisar airport is functioning matching international standards. After the formation of IGI Airport, it took 10 years to improve flight connectivity. Though Agra has an International Airport, only one flight arrives from there. Similarly, six flights arrive at Chandigarh airport in a week. The Deputy Chief Minister said that we have an agreement with the Central Government for the construction of Hisar Airport.
Chautala stated that the Haryana government will soon make another remarkable progress in the sphere of digitization. The ration cards with four distinct colours will be removed by the state government. The state government has decided to make ration cards through the verification of Parivar Pehchan Patra. He added that the fee of Rs. 20 for making ration cards will also be eliminated. This information was given by the Deputy Chief Minister to the media persons in Rohtak today. He said that the families below the annual income of Rs. 1.80 lakh will be automatically made beneficiaries of BPL category through Parivar Pehchan Patra and the beneficiary will get the facility of ration after verification of Aadhaar card. Dushyant Chautala said that the state government is strenuously working to take the state on the path of progress. He said that now farmers are getting paid directly in their bank accounts, facility of Ayushman card and now through the digitization.
