Haryana to recruit Rangers and foresters

category Regional, chandigarh, , tags Regional, chandigarh, , DW BUREAU Chandigarh Haryana Government is undertaking the process of recruitment to the posts of Rangers and foresters in the State through the Haryana Staff Selection Commission. Divulging more details in this regard an official spokesperson said that this recruitment is being done on the basis of Haryana Forest Service (Executive) Group C rules, 1998, wherein the physical standards for height and chest for both males and females have been prescribed. In the past also, all such recruitments have been done on the basis of these physical standards. Consequent to these rules 22 female Forest Guards and 4 female foresters have been recruited from time to time using these physical measurements, shared the spokesperson. Even the Ministry of Environment, Forest and climate change, Government of India, in their model guidelines, have also prescribed physical standards for height and chest measurement in the case of both males and females for recruitment, said the spokesperson. It is important to mention here that only female doctors and staff are deployed for taking physical measurements of female candidates during the recruitment process. This shall be strictly followed during this year s selection process also. The adjoining State of Punjab is also keeping physical measurements for height and chest in case of both male and female candidates in the matter of recruitment of forest field staff.
