Haryana to implement NEP by 2025: Kanwar Pal

Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal said that the Union government has set a target to implement the National Education Policy-2020 by 2030. Taking initiatives towards the successful implementation of the education policy in Haryana, the Chief Minister Manohar Lal has expressed his vision to implement it completely in the state by 2025. Apart from this, an in-principle agreement has been implemented to include NCC as an elective subject in colleges and a committee has been constituted for its implementation.
Kanwar Pal was interacting with media persons after interaction with various teaching and non-teaching organizations of Government and Government Aided colleges here today. Regarding opening of schools, he said that at present the situation arises due to COVID-19 is under control and the Classes from I to V in schools can be resumed in August if everything remains under control.
The Education Minister said that in the meeting held today, the demands of Haryana Private College (Aided College) Non Teaching Employees Union, Haryana Government Aided College Principal Association, College Teacher Association, Haryana Government College Teacher Association, All Government College, Ministerial Staff Association, Association of Extension Lecturers were discussed. He said that all their legitimate demands have been accepted, while some pending demands will be examined and their practicality will
be ascertained.
Sh. Kanwar Pal informed that some associations have raised issues related to delay in college admission through online portal. Last year there was some delay in admissions due to the Corona pandemic but this time there will be no such problem, he assured.
He said that this portal would soon be linked with the Parivar Pehchan Patra so that it would be easy for the students to get various facilities including scholarships. He directed the officials to simplify the admission process in the second and third year of Graduation.
