This proactive measure aims to reduce delays in infrastructure projects due to time spent acquiring no-objection certificates from the Forest Department for cutting existing trees. Chautala, who also oversees the PWD, reviewed land acquisitions conducted through e-Bhoomi during a meeting here today. He highlighted the challenges faced by the department when building new roads, widening existing ones, or constructing government buildings on land with existing trees. Obtaining no-objection certificates to cut these trees often leads to delays in project timelines. To address this issue and ensure timely completion of projects, Mr. Chautala instructed the PWD officers to proactively plant forests on its own land. Identifying and securing approximately 500 acres of land in each district for dedicated forest development will create a readily available pool of trees that can be utilized for future infrastructure projects, eliminating the need for cutting existing trees and expediting the no-objection certificate process. Furthermore, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the importance of swiftly processing land acquired through e-Bhoomi. He directed officers to expedite payments for land offered voluntarily by citizens, allowing the department to take possession and launch projects promptly. Chautala also reviewed the construction of mini-secretariat buildings for newly established tehsils and sub-divisions across the state. He called for swift resolutions to any hurdles hindering the construction process, such as map approvals, administrative clearances, or land transfer issues. Removing these impediments will allow for the expeditious commencement of construction and completion of these administrative facilities. Present at the meeting include Additional Chief Secretary, PWD, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Director of the Land Consolidation and Land Records Department, Ms. Amna Tasneem and other senior officers.
