Haryana to celebrate State Labour Day today

Under the able leadership of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, the State Government is continuously working for ensuring the welfare of the workers.
The Chief Minister firmly believes that the hard-working workers have a pivotal contribution in bringing Haryana among the leading states of the country in terms of development.
Today Haryana has become the fastest progressing state in the country only because of the hard work and dedication of labourers, added Sh. Manohar Lal.
Meanwhile, as announced by the Chief Minister, a grand event is being organized on the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti to be celebrated on September 17 at Sector-29, Gurugram. Sh. Manohar Lal will be attending the said State Labour Day function as Chief Guest.
The Chief Minister said that the Central Government has decided to celebrate Vishwakarma Jayanti as National Labour Day. Following the same, in the year 2018, Haryana too had decided to celebrate Vishwakarma Jayanti as the State Labour Day.
According to sacred Hindu tradition, Vishwakarma is known as the divine engineer of the world. It is because of him only that today we have some of the best infrastructures, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
He said that the State Government has taken concrete steps for the welfare of the workers. The focus of the State Government is not only limited to ensuring the welfare of the organized sector but we are also focused on the unorganized sector.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana Unorganized Workers Social Security Board has been constituted for the welfare of unorganized workers.
He called upon the workers to take advantage of the schemes being run by the state government.
Organized and unorganized sector workers, representatives of factories, members of labour associations, employers etc. will participate in this function. During this state-level function, Shram Awards will be awarded.
