Ambedkar Awas Navinikarn Yojna. During an online interaction with beneficiaries in Rohtak, he stated that the financial assistance has been raised from the previous Rs. 50,000 to 80,000 for repairing their homes, and till now one lakh people have applied under this scheme. The Chief Minister engaged with beneficiaries of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikarn Yojna today from Rohtak. During the CM ki Vishesh Charcha, many beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and thanked him for providing financial support to renovate their old and dilapidated houses, transforming them into habitable dwellings. These underprivileged individuals shared that they or their parents had toiled as labourers many years ago to build a modest shelter, but over time, these homes had deteriorated and they couldn t afford the necessary repairs. They spoke of their plight, and the Chief Minister, understanding their distress, extended assistance through the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikarn Yojna scheme, ensuring that their homes were once again livable. Chief Minister congratulated those benefiting from the programme and emphasised the state government s commitment to realizing the vision of comprehensive development through Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi s social justice initiatives. He stated that the state government stands with the poor and strives to integrate them into society by providing them with the benefits of government programmes. Initially, the scheme benefitted individuals belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Vimukt Caste, and Tapriwas section living below the poverty line. However, the scope has now been expanded to include families from all income groups with an annual income of up to Rs. 1.80 lakh. The financial assistance provided for repairs has been increased from Rs. 25,000 to 80,000, directly deposited into the beneficiaries accounts. To date, over 66,000 beneficiaries have received assistance totaling 370 crores under this scheme. He said that many important steps were taken by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi in the interest of the poor. He said that under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana , 80 crore people in the country are getting free ration, and 1.38 crore people in Haryana are getting the benefit of this scheme. In a similar vein, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for Urban areas, the goal has been set to construct 67,649 houses. Among these, 14,939 houses have already been built, while 15,356 are currently under construction. Furthermore, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for Rural areas, approval has been granted for the construction of 29,440 houses, with 26,318 of them already completed. The Chief Minister said that the state government has launched the Mukhyamantri Shahri Awas Yojana allowing underprivileged families with an annual income of up to Rs. 1.80 lakh to apply for housing through a portal. Flats will be constructed by Haryana Urban Development Authority in Panchkula, Gurugram, Sonipat, and Faridabad, with colonies equipped with essential amenities. To expedite the process, a new department named Sabhi K Liye Awas has also been established. (editor dailyworld.in)
