Governor lauds Divya Manav Jyoti Trust service to society

category Regional, shimla, , tags Regional, shimla, , DW BUREAU Shimla During his visit to Divya Manav Jyoti Seva Trust at Dehar, Sundernagar in Mandi district today, Governor, Shiv Pratap Shukla said that there was no Godly work other than service to humanity. Service to mankind is such a feeling that the one who does it, gets happiness and the one who is served also gets pleasure , said the Governor. After becoming the Governor, he reached Mandi for the first time. He visited the Trust and took stock of the facilities being provided there. Expressing contentment, the Governor said that today this institution was working on the path shown by Swami Swatantranand Maharaj. He congratulated the office bearers of the trust for carrying forward the mission of Swamiji. He said that this institute was doing commendable work to educate and up-bring children in its own building. Financial assistance was also being provided to the eligible girls, he added. He said that there were many children in the society who can t pursue their higher and professional education due to lack of financial resources. The trust was doing commendable work in this direction by helping them to pursue their education. The Governor said that the children of this institution have not only excelled in academics but also in other activities, by performing well at the national level in various outdoor activities, and bringing laurels to the State by receiving various awards. He said that such institutions should be encouraged. Earlier, Satya Prakash Arya, Chairman of the Trust felicitated the Governor. He detailed various activities of the trust and said that the Institute provided financial assistance to the eligible girls and this year assistance of Rs. 6.16 lakh has been given to 132 girls. On the occasion, Yoga and other cultural programs were presented by the children of the Institute. Rakesh Jamwal, Local MLA, Soumya Sambasivan, Superintendent of Police, Navedita Negi, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Senior officers of the district administration and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. Later, the Governor also paid a visit to the Institute for Children with special ability being run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment at Sundernagar.
