Election Commission honours Yashveer Goyal

category Regional, bathinda, , tags Regional, bathinda, , DW BUREAU Bathinda The Election Commission of India has honoured Yashveer Goyal for his contribution in educating youths to get registered as voters and participate in every election to make the Indian democracy more strong. Palvi Chaudhary, Additional Deputy Commission, Bathinda gave a certificate of appreciation to Yashveer for his yeoman s service to achieve the target of 100 per cent registration of eligible people as voters. Chaudhary gave this honour to Yashveer at a function organised on the occasion of National Voters Day. His speech in sign language to motivate people to actively participate in the election after getting registered as a voter was also played on the screen at the function. Suresh Gaur, Coordinator, Election Commission, was present on the occasion. Yashveer, who has been given national awards twice and state award twice for his outstanding achievements in different fields, has been selected as icon by the Election Commission of India. Since 2019, he has been actively promoting the activities of the Election Commission. Yashveer, who has done his master degree in history in first division, has won gold medals in sports, photography, speech contest in sign language, national information technology championship and in general education. Apart from the Central government and state government, Yashveer has been honoured by more than 70 non-governmental and social organisations of international and national level for his achievements and work during Covid-19 pandemic.
