Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit reviews the progress of the new bus stand, in Patiala, on Thursday

Kumar Amit, Deputy Commissioner, today reviewed the progress of construction of New Bus Stand and Workshop Block on Rajpura Road. He directed the PWD officials present there to complete the work of the new bus stand and flyover by November end.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the RCC work of the basement of the Bus Stand has been completed and the RCC slab of the bridge on ground floor of the Bus Stand will be laid in this month along with other ground floor slabs. Even, on one side of the Bus Stand, a ground floor slab has been laid and shuttering for the first floor slab has been started by the agency.
He said that for hindrance free entry of buses into New Bus Stand, a flyover has also been planned by PWD, the work of which has already been started. The target of completion of Bus Stand building and fly over work has been set as November 30.
Expressing satisfaction over the progress of civil works being carried out by the PWD B&R, he directed the Executive Engineer Water Supply & Sanitation Department to start the sewerage/tube well and UGSR immediately without further loss of time. He also advised to furnish the work programme chart to complete the Public Health works.
On this occasion Chander Jyoti, Assistant Commissioner (UT), Jagnoor Singh, Extra Assistant Commissioner (UT), Er SL Garg, XEN, PWD, Er Amrik Singh XEN, Water Supply & Sanitation and Er MK Garg, SDE, PWD were also present.
