Cultural alliance to boost tourism, economic growth: Kanwar Pal

Kanwar Pal while interacting with media persons he said that the north eastern states are rich in Culture and living with eco-sustainability. He said that Haryana sees ample opportunity for exchange of Culture and craft alliance with North Eastern States. He informed that stalls of North Eastern states became the cynosure in the Surajkund International Crafts Mela, Faridabad. He said that previous Governments have always cornered the development of North Eastern states but under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi inclusive development of all states are being ensured without any discrimination. He informed that it is a matter of great pleasure that North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms development Corporation under the Ministry of DONER is willing to sign a MOU on the exchange of Culture and craft alliance with Surajkund Mela Authority. Sh. Kanwar Pal said that this cultural exchange initiative will provide thrust to the state tourism and also provide direct and indirect opportunities of employment to the youth of both states. Kanwar visited North Eastern Handicrafts Handlooms Development Corporation Ltd., HeadQuarter, Guwahati where he met the artisan and took details regarding their livelihood, Art and Culture. He further stated that Haryana is moving forward with the PM s vision of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat . He added that Surajkund Mela itself is a big platform to the people of the north eastern region to showcase their culture and art. Haryana has a rich cultural heritage that gives visitors the feel of the Vedic period. The state has its own rich customs and traditions, as well as folklore to up-lift its great cultural heritage not just in India but in the whole world. Managing Director, NEHHDC, Brig.
