Completion of work on new bus stand on schedule: DC

Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans took stock of the construction work of new modern bus stand being constructed on Patiala-Rajpura road, today, morning.
Expressing satisfaction over the work done so far, he said that as per the speedy construction work, he hoped that the work of this project would be completed in stipulated time. Appreciating the patience being shown by the people who have been asked to take alternate traffic routes due to the construction of connecting flyover, while entering and exiting Patiala these days from Rajpura road and Bus Stand road, he said that soon they would have see restoration of traffic on this route as the process of laying of slab on main road portion is in progress.
Regretting the difficulties being faced by the people due to the construction of this connecting flyover, he said that technically and practically, it was not possible to have the uninterrupted entry of buses from Rajpura and Sirhind bypass side to Bus Stand, in the absence of this flyover. "As the problem of entry has been fixed in advance for smooth operation of buses, it will facilitate the people in future," he said. The Deputy Commissioner said that all the roof slabs of the bus stand building have been laid. Now the work of flooring, plastering and pavement for buses is in full swing. He said that the construction work of the bus stand would be completed within the stipulated time.
He thanked the people of Patiala for their support and said that after the completion of the bus stand, the people of the city would get a bus stand equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and the problem of traffic congestion in the city would also be solved.
