Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reviewed the progress of the Budget Speech announcements related to various departments in a meeting held here today. He directed the concerned officers to ensure the timely completion of these announcements, ensuring that the people of the state can benefit at the earliest.
Nayab Singh Saini, who also holds the portfolio of Finance Minister, made several significant announcements in the State Budget for the year 2025?26 during the Vidhan Sabha session held in March this year.
While reviewing the progress of the various Budget announcements, the Chief Minister placed special emphasis on further strengthening healthcare facilities across all district hospitals in the State.
He directed that healthcare services should be made more accessible at the Community Health Centre (CHC) level, including the availability of specialist doctors. He also stressed the need to expand diagnostic facilities such as CT Scan, X-Ray, MRI, Ultrasound, and blood analyzers in all district hospitals.
The Chief Minister instructed that the work to upgrade at least one hospital at the district level, ensuring it is fully equipped with all necessary facilities, be expedited.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini directed that, in addition to renovating existing village ponds, new ponds should be constructed in villages with sufficient available land. He further emphasized the importance of identifying suitable land in villages for the construction of recharge wells, which would help store and recharge excess rainwater that otherwise goes to waste. This initiative, he added, would contribute significantly to increasing the groundwater level.
He stated that e-libraries should be established in schools or other buildings close to villages to provide students with dedicated spaces for preparing for competitive examinations. These libraries will be equipped with furniture and books from top publishers, ensuring a conducive environment for students to study.
Approximately 950 e-libraries are expected to be completed by August 15 this year. The Chief Minister also directed the initiation of door-to-door waste collection in villages to support the State Government's vision of developing model villages under the Swachh Gramin Mission.
Additionally, he instructed the preparation of a comprehensive plan for the development of slum areas across the State.
