Checking process reviewed at Shambhu

District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit, SSP Vikram Jeet Duggal today visited the check point set up at Shambhu Barrier, the main entry point on National Highway Ambala-Rajpura for those coming to Punjab especially Patiala.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the working of police and civil teams deployed at Shambhu for checking of RTPCR negative reports or vaccination certificate.
Kumar Amit said that as per the directions of the Punjab government to contain the spread of Coronavirus infection, the district civil and police administration had been working day and night at Shambhu Barrier. He said that it would be made sure that anybody who was coming to Punjab, especially Patiala district from outside Punjab, must possess a negative test report not more than 72 hours old or a certificate of having COVID vaccination over two weeks ago. He said that in case of non-availability of these two documents, no one would be allowed to enter Patiala district. He said that restrictions have already been issued in this regard.
Kumar Amit said that the district Patiala administration was making a concerted effort to make Mission Fateh launched by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh a success.
On this occasion, SSP Vikram Jeet Duggal said that teams of police and civil administration have been deployed to check the persons entering Patiala district from the adjoining areas of Haryana and the orders of the state government would be complied with strictly.
