Charanjiv Singh files nomination for president of CBM

Charanjiv Singh former president and Chairman, on Monday filed the Nomination for the post of President of CBM at Chairman cum Election incharge Satpal Gupta office in sector 7 Chandigarh . As per the code of conduct only five persons were allowed along with the candidate.
Anil Vohra, President Market Welfare Association (Regd.) sector 44-D, proposed the name of Charanjiv Singh as president.
Subhash Narang, President traders Association sector 22B, seconded the name
Charanjiv Singh as president. Naresh Mahajan, President Business Welfare Association sector 23c, Kamaljit Singh
Panchi, President Chandigarh traders Association 17A, Baljinder Singh Gujral, President Kesho Ram Complex burial, 45, also seconded the name of Charanjiv Singh as president
The election of the Chandigarh Beopar Mandal will be held on January 17 , 2021. The election will be held following the Code of Conduct applicable from January 02, 021 to make the incoming election as friendly, simplified and fair. Covid related safety measures will be observed. Members will come with face masks, maintain social distance and sanitize their hands before entering the election premises. Meeting / Get together of more than 20 members will not be allowed to prevent infection during the Election days as per the election code only five members will be allowed during the filing of the nomination papers. No votes will be sought on the political, caste, creed and religion basis. Besides that the advertisement in the print and the electronic media will not be allowed
Covid safety measures will be maintained strictly . No personal issues or character assassination will be raised during the elections . Only those members who paid the subscription up to 31 December will be allowed for voting .
While hectic activities for the election has started soon after the announcement but insiders say that as Charanjiv Singh former chairman and president of the CBM has filed the nomination again for the post of the president again now there is a strong possibility that he will be elected unopposed. The election for the post is held every
two years.
