DW BUREAU / Patna In the past 15 years Bihar has scripted a new history of development, inclusive governance by ensuring effective law and order, and optimum utilisation of resources under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Chief Minister Mr Nitish Kumar, said senior JDU leader and Water Resource Development Minister Mr Sanjay Kumar Jha on Sunday. Mr Jha, who was interacting with the people of Bihar settled in Mumbai and Bengaluru digitally under the aegis of 'FriendsofBihar' series of dialogue, said that Bihar has undergone a sea change ever since Chief Minister Kumar took over the reign fifteen years back. "Since then, not only the image of Bihar has dramatically improved but the state has logged a critical progress in almost every field," he said. The Minister said that Chief Minister Kumar has changed the contour of Bihar politics from the obnoxious caste-religion induced parochialism to the agenda of development due to which even the opposition parties are now talking in terms of doing better development works for the State if they are voted to power. "Today Bihar is on the right path of becoming a self-reliant State where every hand has a gainful engagement. Every segment of the society is being taken care of without any discrimination and exclusion. There is a complete overhaul of the basic infrastructure in the State. From road to power to law and order, there is a remarkable change in every sphere of life for which the credit goes to the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar," he said. Responding to the questions of participants in the dialogue from Mumbai and Bengaluru, Mr Jha said that "our government has made concerted efforts in expanding and improving health and education sector in the state." "There is a positive atmosphere in the state from where we all need to take things forward," he said. Talking about Bihar's economic growth, Mr Jha said that the State has clocked double-digit growth which is a pointer to the fact that the strong foundation for a vibrant Bihar has been laid down under the leadership of Chief Minister Kumar.
