Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa urged the nation and Punjabis to stand united and steadfast as our country faces grave challenges. The recent cowardly attack by Pakistan on innocent lives has once again exposed its malicious intent to destabilize India. The Indian Armed Forces, with its unwavering resolve, has avenged these losses, showcasing our nation's strength and commitment to protecting its people. I salute our brave soldiers and call upon every citizen to support our forces in this critical hour.
However, it is deeply unfortunate that at such a juncture, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are resorting to theatrics instead of addressing issues vital to national security and state welfare. Today's incident at the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) is a glaring example of this misplaced focus. AAP Minister Harjot Bains staged a dramatic spectacle, claiming he confined BBMB Chairman Manoj Tripathi to prevent an unauthorized water release to Haryana. In stark contrast, the Chairman clarified that he was not confined and was merely inspecting security arrangements at the Nangal Dam. Such contradictory narratives and staged dramas serve no purpose other than to create confusion and undermine the gravity of the ongoing BBMB dispute.
Bajwa strongly condemn these antics, which distract from the real issues at hand. The BBMB demands mature and responsible action, not political stunts. CM Mann lost precious 48 hours and didn't approach the Supreme Court after the High Court gave an order in favour of BBMB and against the interests of Punjab.
