Azadi Quest- Information on Freedom Struggle through Infotainment

Azadi Quest- the series of online educational mobile games will help in spread of information about our great freedom struggle in an entertaining manner. Stating this while briefing the media on Azadi Quest, ADG, PIB, Chandigarh, Rajinder Chaudhry requested all the citizens particularly the youth to play this online game to gather information about the freedom struggle in an easy to use play way method.
Chaudhry said that the launch of 'Azadi Quest' by the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Sh. Anurag Thakur is another step in a series of efforts by the government to acknowledge the contribution of freedom fighters and unsung heroes during the freedom struggle of India.
He also informed that as India has risen to stand among the top 5 countries in the gaming sector, 'Azadi Quest' can tap into the huge market of online gamers as gaming sector has grown by 28% in 2021 alone and by 2023 the number of such gamers is expected to reach 45 crores. The games' content is simple yet comprehensive, having been specially curated by the Publications Division and vetted by experts of the Indian Council of Historical Research. During the conference, Shri Chaudhry also gave an interactive demonstration of the gaming app by taking answers from the media persons for questions of the game. Another key focus of the Press Conference was POSHAN Maah, which is being celebrated in the month of September across the country.PoshanAbhiyaan intends to increase nutritional awareness and responsiveness among mothers of young children, adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women, family members including husbands, father, mothers-in-laws , community members and health care providers. During this month, POSHAN Maah activities will broadly focus on Plantation Drive for POSHAN VATIKA by all the stakeholders in the space available at Anganwadis, School Premises, Gram Panchayats and other places. Plantation activity will focus on planting of saplings of nutritious fruit trees, local vegetables and medicinal plants and herbs. Sensitization/awareness drive for COVID vaccination and Observance of COVID Protocols will also be held. Director Pavitar Singhand Assistant Director HarshitNarang were also present on the occassion.
