A delegation of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Sanstha and Pal Gadaria Samaj met Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya at Raj Bhavan. The delegation submitted a memorandum of their demands to the Governor and apprised him about the condition of the society in the state. The Governor was told that the Gadaria community of Haryana has been engaged in sheep and goat rearing since the British era. Due to which they have to go from one place to another to graze sheep and goats. In such a situation, the children of the society have to face great difficulties in educating them. A memorandum was submitted to the Governor demanding land from the government for a hostel in Kurukshetra in the name of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar for the students of Pal Gadaria community, inclusion of some nomadic castes of Haryana in the list of Scheduled Tribes (ST), participation of Pal Gadaria community in politics and formation of a board in the name of 'Devi Ahilyabai Holkar' in the state.

Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya welcomed the representatives of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Sanstha and Pal Gadaria Samaj at the Raj Bhavan and assured to consider all their demands.
