Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister, Information Technology and Innovation, Gokul Butail gave this information while addressing the state level conference on the use of 5G and capacity building organized by the Department of Digital Technologies and Governance in collaboration with the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. Gokul Butail said that citizens 5G technology is vital to enhance services, create more employment opportunities and increase efficiency. He said that the use of latest information technology in the state has been ensured in education, health, surveillance, agriculture, horticulture and other sectors. This will not only strengthen the economy of the state but will also make the state self-reliant and prosperous in the country in the next 10 years. He said that our state was moving towards a new phase of development and the role of information technology was most important in it. the convergence of a cluster of revolutionary technologies including 5G, the cloud, Internet of Things (IoT) and data analytics, along with a growing start-up community, promise to accelerate and deepen its digital engagement, opening up a new horizon of opportunities. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena said that all possible assistance would be provided to all the stakeholders to promote 5G technology in the state. The State Government has introduced e-office system and was being implemented to ensure efficiency and transparency in the functioning of departments. The citizen services are also being strengthened by using information technology. He also stressed the importance of network services, mutual coordination and increasing digital literacy in the state through information technology. He said that the use of information technology can play a meaningful role in drug prevention. (editor dailyworld.in)
