DW Bureau | Chandigarh, October 16: The 15th edition of the Khushwant Singh Literary Festival (KSLF) will be held in Kasauli from October 23 to 25, bringing together more than 80 speakers from literature, journalism, politics, business, technology and the arts.
This year’s theme, “The Art of Disagreement: Conversation Across Divides,” will focus on dialogue, differing viewpoints and ways to find common ground in an increasingly polarised society.
Announcing the details, festival director Rahul Singh, son of late writer Khushwant Singh, said the event would feature discussions on a range of contemporary issues. He was accompanied by KSLF curator Madhur Singh.
Speakers at the festival will include filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, educationist Sonam Wangchuk, former Army chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane (Retd.), Sarthak Ahuja, Sandhya Mridul, journalist Vishnu Som, actor Divya Dutta and singer Satinder Sartaaj, among others.
The sessions will cover literature, politics, business, technology, society, culture and the arts, with discussions examining differing perspectives and the role of dialogue in addressing disagreements.
The festival sessions will be held at three venues within the Kasauli Club — the Badminton Court, Terrace and Tennis Lawn.
An initiative titled ‘Writing the Next Chapter’ will also be part of the festival. It will feature creative workshops and activities aimed at encouraging young people to read, write and engage with new ideas.
The festival, now in its 15th edition, continues to bring together speakers and audiences for discussions on literature, public life and contemporary social issues.
