Los Angeles, Dec 29 : Hollywood actress Jodie Foster, who is known for â??The Silence of the Lambsâ??, is not really comfortable with multi-tasking.
The actress has shared that she canâ??t multi-task. The 63-year-old actress prefers to give one thing her entire focus and then when it is â??doneâ??, she will immediately move on to something else, reports â??Female First UKâ??.
She told Red magazine, â??Thatâ??s my personality. â??I like to do one thing with total focus, and then I like to be done and go skiing. Iâ??m not somebody whoâ??s a multi-tasker. Canâ??t go in and out of doing one thing, then do something else. â??Iâ??m like a one-person channelâ??.
The â??A Private Lifeâ?? actress loves to find new ways to be challenged and loves nothing more than â??learning something that I have to immerse myself in in mind and bodyâ??.
She shared, â??So I would like someone to say, â??OK Jodie, you have to take a year of your life and you will speak Mandarin and play the flute. Iâ??m in. I want to take on something like thatâ??.
As per â??Female First UKâ??, Jodie also likes the idea of going back to school for up to a year. She went on, â??But I donâ??t want to be stuck making a commitment to something that I then have to be an expert in for my whole life. â??I just want to play an expert on TVâ??.
Meanwhile, â??The Silence of the Lambsâ?? star is happy there are increasingly more high-profile roles for older women in film and TV.
She said, â??Maybe thatâ??s just because our great actors are finally getting older, and so we had to have vehicles for them. Also, things changed. I think there was a real consciousness that few in the industry. And you know, when I grew up in the film business, there were no other women, so it was just me and a whole bunch of guys. I never saw another female face, except for sometimes the woman with my mom or make-up artist, but most of the time notâ??.
And Jodie is always open to having roles adapted for her.
