Further, in Shri Ramcharitmanas 7.118, Kakabhushundiji expounds on self-realisation.

atam . suprakasa taba .. nasa

taba . ujiara ura . niruara

"When the beautiful light of self-realisation (Atam-Anubhav) spreads, the illusion of duality (dvaita)the root of worldly existenceis dispelled, and the immense darkness of ignorance is eradicated. Consequently, the intellect, having attained the light of self-realisation, unravels the knot between the inert (Jarh) and the conscious (Chetan)."

Atam Anubhav, after attaining wisdom (Vigyan), enables one to transcend the misconception of the duality of the separation of Jeev (individual soul) and Brahm (Supreme Soul). It also dispels the illusion of Jeev's false identification with the body and refutes the notion that the material world is the source of happiness.

In essence, when the lamp of higher wisdom (vigyanmaya deep) is illuminated, one realises that the Jeev is Brahm and that this world is transient. In other words, Brahm is the only truth, the world is an illusion, and the individual soul and the Supreme are onethere is no duality. This unwavering realisation brings true bliss.

These verses reflect Shri Krishna's discourse in Gita 5.16, where He states that to those whose ignorance is dispelled by knowledge (of the self), it reveals the Brahm. Additionally, in Gita 7.27, He asserts that all beings are engulfed by delusion at birth.

Finally, Atam Anubhav unties the knot between Jarh or Prakriti (material nature) and Chetan, which is Atma (pure consciousness). Shri Krishna elucidates this in Gita 13.29-30, declaring that only one who sees that all actions are performed by Prakriti alone truly sees and that the self is actionless. Furthermore, when one realises that the entirety of creation rests in Him and emanates from Him, then he becomes Brahm.

The truth is that Nature functions, not the self. We all exist in Him, and He is present in all. We expand from Him and contract into Him. This is the ultimate and only Truth! / DAILY WORLD /
