DW BUREAU / Chandigarh The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Chandigarh Administration and MC Employees and Workers Chandigarh has decided to resort to begging in case their demands are not met. The employees are demanding to raise the DC rate of outsourcing workers The employees organised protest at Water Works Sector 37 against the Chandigarh Administration keeping in mind the guide line of social distancing. Ashwani Kumar, Convener of the Joint Action Committee appealed to the administration to increase the DC rate of outsourced workers. Ashwani Kumar said that if the DC rate is not increased before August 12, then the members of the committee will start begging holding bowls in their hands from August 17, which will run for five consecutive days..Surmukh Singh and Surinder Kumar Narinder Kumar Raja Ram said that vacant posts should be filled soon, DA should be paid soon and peon working in the Engineering Department should be promoted and Pending salary of mid-day meal workers should be given soon.
