Employees hold discussion for protest on January 22

The Executive Meeting of the Joint Action Committee of Chandigarh Administration and MC Employees and Workers was held in Sector 17 under the chairmanship of Surmukh Singh on Wednesday. Discussion was done to make the strike successful on January 22. Convener of Joint Action Committee, Ashwini Kumar, while addressing the meeting said that the officials of Administration and MC are not paying attention to the demands of the employees. He said that the DC rate has not yet been increased, which increases from April 1 every year. But the administration is fast asleep and DC rates are not rising, and contracts and outsource workers are being exploited. Ashwini Kumar said that to prevent exploitation, the administration is not making safe policy for outsourcing workers, family members of the deceased are not being given jobs on the basis of Punjab.
Employees are constantly agitating for the demands of the posts not being filled, but the officials are not meeting the demands. Therefore, the employees will stage a huge protest in the MC office sector 17 on January 22 in support of their demands. Union's employees belonging to the Joint Action Committee will participate in this dharna. The meeting was attended by Narinder Kumar, Raja Ram, Ram Singh, Ravinder Bindu, Rajinder Kumar, Gurmeet Singh, Ravi Kumar, Surinder Kumar, Sat Prakash and Saravan Kumar.
