DW BUREAU / PATIALA Multani Mal Modi College organized a special function to distribute scholarships to 95 deserving students of the college by Dr SPS Oberoi, Managing Trustee, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust here today. College Principal Dr Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the Chief Guest and other guests and said that 'Sarbat Da Bhala Trust' has become a symbol of social welfare and a hope for better education and affordable health services for a number of lives across the globe. Inderjeet Gill, Director Education, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust and Gaganpreet Singh, General Secretary, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, were also present on the occasion. Inderjeet Gill discussed various activities and schemes initiated by the 'Sarbat Da Bhala Trust' for the welfare of underprivileged and marginalized sections of the society. Dr SPS Oberoi handed over a cheque for Rs 9.5 lakh of scholarships for the needy and deserving students of Modi College. The stage was conducted by Dr Harmohan Sharma, Deputy Registrar.
