No dearth of funds for research works: DR Ram lal Markendeya


DW BUREAU HP Technical Education Minister Dr Ram Lal Markandeya has told the students community to continue with their research works as there was no dearth of money for such works in order to make India strong and to compete with super World powers. He said this while inaugurating the data center and web studio of the Technical University here last evening. He announced that the state government had given a sum of ten crore rupees for the University for carrying out its activities. The Technical Education Minister said that for research and new ideas, technical university would provide an incentive amount of Rs 50 thousand to the students and Rs 3-3 lakh to the teachers. He said that any university was identified by its research work and there should be more and more works in this direction in technical university. He assured the authorities that the state government would also take a decision soon for infrastructure development, creation of new posts and other facilities in the university. He said that the state-of-the-art web studio and data center established in the university campus will prove to be a milestone in modern and online education and data collection. The web studio will also be connected to radio. He said that the land transfer process for the university is being completed on a priority basis. (editor@dailyworld.in)
