He informed that at present the work of mapping has been completed in 13 districts of the state. Vij was presiding over a review meeting with the officers of Health and Family Welfare Department in Chandigarh late last evening. During the meeting, he directed the officers of the Health Department to depute the concerned officers to inspect the health services and arrangements being operated in the state and the report should be presented to him after conducting surprise inspections from time to time. Apart from this, he directed the officers to complete the work of setting up de-addiction centers in each hospital as soon as possible and the districts where private de-addiction centers are being operated should also be inspected. Vij directed the officers that PSA plants should remain fully functional and it should be constantly maintained and repaired. Similarly, it was informed in the meeting that approval has been received from the Central Government for setting up 17 Critical Care Blocks and 22 District Integrated Health Laboratories. It was informed in the meeting that CT scan facilities are operational in 17 districts and MRI facilities are being provided through PPP mode in 5 districts namely Ambala, Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurugram and Panchkula. Similarly, Cathlabs are operational in four districts and tenders have been given to operate Cath Labs in three more districts namely Sonipat, Yamunanagar and Bahadurgarh. On this, the Health Minister said that for providing these services, each patient should have a log-in and should also be available on the e-upchar portal. Apart from this, ultrasound facilities are being provided in 22 districts of the state.
