CM announces to give sub tehsil status to Sihma village


category Regional,, tags Regional,, DW BUREAU Fulfilling the Sirsa Jan Samvad announcement, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has accorded approval to upgrade 113 high schools across the state to senior secondary schools. After upgradation of these schools in the first phase by giving exemption relaxation in the rules by the state government; other schools will also be upgraded in a phased manner. Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that all such schools across the state which comprise 80 or more students in class 9th and 10th, with one acre or more land being available and the nearest senior secondary school being at a distance of 3 kilometres or more; will be upgraded. The spokesperson said that as per the National Education Policy-2020, the schools will be upgraded to ensure universal access and availability of education for all students up to class 12th. A total of 113 high schools in 64 blocks of 20 districts will be upgraded to senior secondary schools. Among these, four schools in Sirsa s Dabwali block, four schools in Sirsa block, one school in Nathusari Chopta, two schools each in Rania and Odhan block will be upgraded. Similarly, in Karnal district, two schools in Indri block, three in Gharaunda, two in Nilokheri, two in Karnal, one school each in Assandh and Nissing. In Hisar district, three schools in Hisar-II block, two schools in Uklana, with one school each in Barwala, Agroha, Hansi, Hisar-I and Adampur blocks will be upgraded. In Jind district, two schools in Pillukhera block, four schools in Narwana and one school each in Safidon, Julana, Jind and Alewa blocks will be upgraded. The spokesperson further said that in Palwal district, two schools each in Hathin and Hasanpur blocks and four schools in Palwal block will be upgraded. In Gurugram district, two schools in Sohna block and six schools in Gurgaon block would be upgraded. Similarly, in Fatehabad district, upgradation of two schools each in Bhuna, Ratia and Fatehabad blocks and one school each in Jakhal and Bhattu Kalan is included. Meanwhile in Kurukshetra district, three schools each in Pehowa and Shahbad and one school in Thanesar, besides three schools in Kaithal block and one school each in Siwan, Kalayat and Pundri. In Panchkula district, two schools each in Pinjore and Barwala blocks and one school in Raipur Rani will be upgraded. He said that in Bhiwani district, two schools each in Siwani and Bhiwani blocks, one school each in Sadhaura, Bilaspur, Jagadhri and Chhachhrauli blocks in Yamunanagar district; besides two schools in Ambala city and one each in Saha, Naraingarh and Shahzadpur blocks will be upgraded. In Sonipat district, two schools in Ganaur and one each in Sonipat and Mundlana will be upgraded. The spokesperson said that in this list, one school in Faridabad s Ballabgarh and two schools in Faridabad block will be upgraded, besides two schools in Rewari block, two schools in Nangal Choudhary block of Mahendragarh district and one school each in Rohtak block, Nuh block and Panipat s Samalkha block are included. The spokesperson said that with the efforts of the Chief Minister, schools under Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM-SHRI) scheme will be established in the state to raise the level of education. PM-SHRI is a centrally sponsored scheme for the development of schools, which is envisaged as model schools; meeting the needs of 21st century education. Two schools (one senior secondary school and one primary school) will be opened in every block across the state and they will be developed as PM-SHRI Model Sanskriti School.
