Shiv Batalvi remembered on his death anniversary

During the meeting Punjabi poet Shiv Kumar Batalvi was fondly remembered on his 50th death anniversary by the participating scholars. While talking about the literature and other writings of the Batalvi Saddi said that Batalvi was such a great poet of Punjabi literature that he was compared with the English poet John Keats. He was poet, writer and play writer of Punjabi language. Surjit Singh Vishad, a journalist, said Shiv Batalvi was most known for his romanticism in the corridors of literary circles. He said Batalvi was Birha da sultan the king of pain and miseries. He was a man of multifaceted personality. His poetry was romantic. Due to that he was known as a poet of romanticism. He said Batalvi was born on July 23, 1936, and left this earth on May 6, 1973. In a short span of 37 years of his life he wrote a remarkable and unmatched literature. A journalist Balbir Singh Babbi while addressing said Shiv Batalvi will be remembered for a long time due to his writings.
