Haryana will work in mission mode for the schemes to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through various ministries, especially the Ministry of Women and Child Development, towards women empowerment. For this, Haryana Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda assured the Union Women and Child Development Minister, Smt. Smriti Irani that Haryana will give its best performance as before.
During the review meeting of the schemes by the Ministry of Women and Child Development with various states of North India, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda, gave the presentation about the department.
The Union Minister, while discussing the steps being taken to implement Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya and Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, said that these schemes should be implemented effectively in the direction of women empowerment. For this, not only will the review be done at every level, but work will be done in mission mode.
Smt. Smriti Irani said that an entire system will be developed as a hub at the central, state and district level for all central Government run schemes related to women empowerment and the schemes which are going to be started in future as well. She directed to open a single nodal account for this at the earliest.
Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda said that a demand has been sent to Haryana Public Service Commission and Haryana Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of Women and Child Development Project Officer and Supervisor in Haryana. She said that the process of procurement through GeM portal is being started in order to make it easier for the Anganwadi workers to do their work at the Anganwadi centre level.
She said that necessary guidelines have been given to the officers of the Panchayat Department regarding the Anganwadi centres in the state where funds have not been spent through the Zilla Parishad for toilets and drinking water supply system.
She said that now the money will be spent under the supervision of the state government, under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign. Earlier the money was sent directly to the district. She said that this will speed up the effective implementation of the campaign. In the meeting, Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Sh. Indevar Pandey gave necessary instructions to the officers regarding Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya and Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0.
On this occasion, Commissioner and Secretary, Haryana Women and Child Development Department, Smt. Amneet P Kumar, Director General, Haryana Women and Child Development Department, Smt. Hema Sharma were also present.
