Haryana Livestock Development Board (HLDB) was recognized for its efforts and achievements in promotion of livestock in the state. Haryana Livestock Development Board has been awarded and recognised as the best across the country at the 'India Industry and Technology Expo-2022' organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The Livestock Development Board of Haryana participated in this expo under the category of government achievements and schemes implemented for farmers and livestock farmers. It is a matter of great pride for Haryana that the efforts and achievements of Haryana Livestock Development Board have not only been recognized in this event for the development of livestock sector in the state but they have also
been awarded.
Managing Director, Haryana Livestock Board, Dr. SK Bagoria participated as the guest in the expo and also received the honour. He elaborated on the various ongoing schemes of the Board and the Department at the Technical Expo and also apprised about the contribution of the Board in strengthening the breeding services in the State. He said that there was a significant improvement in the sperm quality for the improvement of cattle breeds and this also led to a three-fold increase in milk production.
He said that in the year 1966 at the time of formation of the state, the per capita availability of milk in Haryana was 282 grams per day, which has now increased to 1080 grams per day.
