11 Punjab police officers transferred; SK Asthana posted as ADGP-cum-Director, BOI

DW BUREAU / chandigarh The Punjab Government on Thursday transferred 11 police officers, including seven ADGP-rank officers with immediate effect. While ADGP (Human Rights) S K Asthana has been posted as ADGP-cum-Director, Burea of Investigation (BoI), Punjab, Gaurav Yadav who has been holding the post of ADGP (Law and Order) has been placed as ADGP, Modernisation, Punjab. According to a government order, ADGP Technical Services Kuldeep Singh has been transferred as ADGP, Internal Vigilance Cell in addition to Police Governance Reforms and ADGP Varinder Kumar has been posted as ADGP, Provisioning. Dr Naresh Kumar Arora has been posted as ADGP, Law and Order, whereas Ram Singh has been posted as ADGP, Technical Services, Punjab. B Chandra Shekhar will now hold the post of ADGP, Human Rights and in addition the charge of STF, Punjab. Balwinder Singh, the Commandant of 4rth Commando Btn, SAS Nagar has been posed as the new SSP of Khanna, while Gursharandeep Singh has been placed as AIG, Law and Order, Punjab. Satvir Singh is now the Assistant Commandant, 1st IRB, Patiala, and Rajesh Kumar has been posted as Assistant Commandant, 82nd Btn, PAP, Chandigarh against a vacant post. (editor@dailyworld.in)
