Vivek High School continues dominance at Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy

DW Bureau | Chandigarh: The third day of the 11th Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy, organised by Vivek High School, Mohali, witnessed a series of thrilling matches at the Sector 42 Sports Complex on Thursday. Players from Vivek High School, Chandigarh and Mohali, continued their strong performance, dominating several categories including Boys Under-10, Boys Under-12, Boys Under-17 and Girls Under-17.
The day saw high energy and spirited play as young athletes displayed exceptional skill and teamwork, much to the delight of spectators.
In the Boys Under-10 category, Vivek High School, Chandigarh edged past Manav Rachna School 8-6. Abhir Pratap led the winners with 4 points, while Rabnoor scored 6 for Manav Rachna. In the Girls Under-10 match, Learning Paths School (LPS) defeated Saupin’s School 14-9, with Chahat scoring 10 points for the winners and Aarna contributing 7 for Saupin’s.
In the Boys Under-17 category, Vivek High School, Mohali outplayed Ryan International School, Chandigarh 44-20, with Aditya scoring 18 points. In another match, Ryan International School beat DPS, Chandigarh 33-12, led by Paras with 10 points.
The Girls Under-17 matches saw Vivek High School, Mohali overpower The Tribune School 22-0, with Navna scoring 10 points. Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh defeated YPS, Mohali 38-19, thanks to a stellar 19-point performance from Samaya.
In the Boys Under-12 category, Vivek High School, Chandigarh clinched a narrow 8-7 win over Strawberry Fields School. Fatehbir scored 4 points for the winners, while Angad added 3 for Strawberry Fields.
In the Girls Under-14 category, DPS, Chandigarh beat Amity International School, Mohali 10-4, with Anupriya scoring 8 points. In the boys’ section, Strawberry Fields School defeated LPS, Mohali 43-24, with Riansh emerging as the top scorer with 22 points.
