Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Assembly Speaker Rana KP Singh on Saturday greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of the Pargat Divas of ‘Adi Kavi’ Bhagwan Valmiki Ji.
In his message, the Chief Minister reminded the people of the teachings of the immortal composition – the Ramayana by the Saint Poet Bhagwan Valmiki Ji, which he said would always guide them towards spiritual happiness.
Underscoring the significance of the preachings of Bhagwan Valmiki, as enshrined in the Holy Ramayana, the Chief Minister urged the people to follow the path of truth and morality propagated by it. The Chief Minister exhorted one and all to celebrate this sacred occasion in a spirit of amity, brotherhood, harmony and peace.
In a message, Rana K.P. Singh said that Bhagwan Valmiki, the creator of first ever the great epic-‘Ramayana’ was a great exponent of Indian culture & civilization. He said that ‘Ramayana’ is a great source of human values, culture and ethics for the entire humanity. Bhagwan Valmiki was a great spiritual ambassador, who gave the message of social equality, communal harmony and welfare of downtrodden and oppressed groups, he added.
