Haryana Government has approved the project proposal for the component of risk management under the Sub-mission of Livestock Development in order to insure 10 lakh animals of the State under the ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Samoohik Pashudhan Beema Yojana’ during the year 2019-20.
A State Level Executive Committee (SLEC) meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Chief Secretary, Mrs. Keshni Anand Arora regarding the approval of Annual Action Plan 2019-20 for funding under National Livestock Mission (NLM) for the year 2019-20, here today. The scheme will be implemented in all the districts of the State as an economic security measure to the livestock farmers of the state. The Haryana Livestock Development Board is the implementing agency of the Scheme.
The Chief Secretary said that a proper mechanism should be developed by the Department and the Insurance Company in order to settle maximum claims of the livestock farmers.
